William Simpson "Bill" Thurman

Mr. William Simpson “Bill” Thurman, age 91, of Franklin, KY entered into rest Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 2:40 AM at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.  Cremation was chosen and no services are planned.

Bill was born March 31, 1928 in Warren Co., KY to the W.E. Thurman and the late Rosa Simpson Thurman.  He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Turner Thurman, a daughter Kristie Lea Stratton (Mike) of Franklin, KY, granddaughter Audra Lea Leflenr (Jaren), a great grandson Eli Turner Henley, sisters and brothers-in-laws Buddy and Bettie Biggs, Larry and Ann Fleming and sister-in-law Linda Turner and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was a Korean War Army Veteran and was retired milk hauler for Golden Rod, and dairyman for Kroger Dairies.
