Willa Dean Ausbrooks

Ms. Willa Dean Ausbrooks, age 89, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 7:20 AM at the Medical Center of Franklin, KY.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Visitation will continue on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 9th at 2:00 PM with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. 

Willa Dean was born on March 14, 1934 in Simpson County, KY to the late Lawrence Ausbrooks and the late Margaret Bush Ausbrooks.  She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Jean Graves; a grandson, Daniel Davis; and a sister, Juanita Harris.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Cathy Belcher of Franklin, KY; 6 grandchildren, Todd Graves, Tony Belcher, Derick Minnicks, John “Buddy” Minnicks, Myra Jean Carver, Jamie Toney; 14 great-grandchildren, Desaray Brewer, Alayna Belcher, Tia Payne, Lindsey Brook Otto, Hayden Minnicks, Kelsey Toney, Kyle Toney, Daniel Boles, Hallie Boles, Christopher Davis, Ale Minnicks, Lillian Minnicks, Natalie Minnikcs and Olivia Minnicks; 6 great-great-grandchildren, Marcellus Brewer, A’mya Seay, Jaimison Otto, Rosie Coleman, Sawyer Toney, Everett Toney; a sister, Helen Joyce Hopkins of Simpson County, KY.

Willa Dean was of Baptist faith.  She worked at Allen Garment Company for 28 years.  Willa Dean enjoyed working in the garden and farm.  She rode the tobacco setter this past summer.
