Virgil Louise (Hillis) Lee

Mrs. Louise Lee, age 74, of Franklin, KY passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  Visitation will continue on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 6:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Louise was born on October 10, 1947 in Bell Buckle, TN to the late Virgil L. Hillis and the late Sarah Francis (Record) Hillis.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Marion Lee; and 2 brothers, James Buddy Hillis and Robert Lee Hillis.

She is survived by 3 children, Tammy Kitchens (Ronnie), Patty Lee (Danny Vaughn) and Jamie Wimpee (Randall Lawson) all of Franklin, KY; a sister, Betty Freeman of Shelbyville, TN; 6 grandchildren, Zachary Kitchens (Kelle), Justin Kitchens (Hannah), Lorinda Pickering (Dustin), Kristin Abney, Joshua Abney (Chelsie), Sara Abney (Ray); 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Louise was a member of Faith Baptist Church.  She worked for Halcomb and Burr Farms.  Louise enjoyed working in the garden, solving word search puzzles, collecting ceramic and stuffed bears and antiques.
