Valerie Lynn Slack

Ms. Valerie Lynn Slack, age 46, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 in Franklin, KY at her residence.

Ms. Slack’s wishes were to be cremated.  No services will be held at this time.  A Celebration of Life service will be held a later date.

Valerie was born on December 7, 1974 in Franklin, KY to the late Hugh Slack and the late Mary Helen Brown Roberts.  She is also preceded in death by a son, Jordan Trent Scott; a grandson, Bentlee Graham; and a brother, Howard Martin.

She is survived by 3 sons, Tyler Scott of Portland, TN, Hunter Graham of Franklin, KY and Cameron Graham of Franklin, KY; a grandchild in which she raised, Ali Scott of Franklin, KY; 2 other grandchildren, Oaklynn Graham and Wyatt Graham and a grandchild on the way; 3 brothers, Thomas Martin of Portland, TN, Roy Martin of Franklin, KY and Luther Slack of Cross Plains, TN; Mary Ann Slack of Gallatin; a companion, Richard D. Lakebrink of Nashville, TN; 3 nieces, Kimberly Martin, Shauna Martin and Shelly Martin and lots of other friends and relatives.

Valerie was a member of Franklin Community Church in Franklin, KY.  She was a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School.  Valerie was employed by Dreamland as a cashier.  She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, going to concerts and motorcycle riding.
