Mr. Ross D. Cassetty, age 70, a native of Franklin, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 28th, 2020 at Ahava Healthcare of Clarksville, in Clarksville, TN.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, KY. Visitation will be Sunday, November 1st, 2020 at Gilbert Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 1st, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sulphur Spring Church Cemetery with military rights given by the Simpson County Honor Guard.
Ross was born on January 5th, 1950 in Franklin, KY to the late Clarence Cassetty and the late Lurah Edwards Cassetty. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Debby Cassetty; a granddaughter, Miller Grace Cassetty; a sister, Nancy Smith; and 2 brothers, Bobby Cassetty and CJ Cassetty.
He is survived by 2 sons, Matt Cassetty (Emily) of Rockfield, KY and Adam Cassetty of Edmonton, KY; 7 grandchildren, Hope Cassetty, Matilyn Cassetty, Jaylin Cassetty, Abigail Cassetty, Zoey Cassetty, John Ryan Cassetty, Corbin Cassetty; 2 brothers, Sam Cassetty of Florida and Sterling Cassetty (Sue) of Franklin, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Ross was a 1968 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School in Franklin, KY. He was a Marine Corp. veteran and served 2 tours during the Viet Nam war. Ross was a member of Grace Family Fellowship Church in Russell Springs, KY. He worked at Silgan Plastics in Franklin, KY. Ross loved to fish.
