Ronald Allen Tyree

On Wednesday January 13, 2021, Ronald Allen Tyree, dedicated husband and father passed away at age 77.

Ron was born on May, 31, 1943 in Franklin, KY to Allen and Beatrice Tyree. He resided in Franklin, Ky and was surrounded by friends and family through his difficult last days. Ronnie, as he was known to many family members, was known for his larger than life character, his smile and his big heart. Ron was a member of Bethany Church of Christ in Franklin. He was always willing to help and be a friend to anyone, reflective of his servant heart. In the late 60's Ron served six years in the army reserves. Afterward, He pursued a career with Kroger in which he retired with 27 years of dedicated service. He later worked with PIC until 2014. Ron had a true passion for cars, big and small. He loved collecting, and made many friends through trading and selling his collections of Hot Wheels and memorabilia. As Ron was known for his collections, We, his closest friends and family will be comforted by the life long memories that we have collected and now treasure.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Gail, his two children, Steve and Craig Tyree, his brother David Tyree and his sister Faye Farmer. Ron is also survived by his step children: Jeff Peden, Susan Murray, Ronald and Andy Lytle. He was also blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by grandchildren: Caleb and Raygen Tyree, Tatum Dobrowolski, William and Kurt Tyree, Amy Moyers, John Allen Cropper and Jaqueline, Doug Cropper Jr, David, Joey and Livia Lytle, Benjamin, Jeremiah, Jonah, Julia, and Josiah Murray, Elizabeth, Emma and Ella Peden, Logan Price, Peyton Smith and Kyler. Great grandchildren:  Elijah and Easton Peden,  Also David Kinser who was like a godson..  Ron was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his wives Dottie Tyree and Dorothy Peden Tyree, and his step-son Doug Cropper.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, January 16th, 2021 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 16th, 2021 at 1:00pm at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Blackjack Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY, with military honors given by the Simpson County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers , expressions of sympathy may be made to the Bethany Church of Christ, those donations can be dropped off or mailed to Gilbert Funeral Home 325 W. Cedar St. Franklin, KY 42134.
