Randall Freeman

Mr. Randall Freeman, age 82, of Franklin, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 at 3:21 PM at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29th, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory and will continue on Friday, September 30th from 6:00 AM until 2:30 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30th at 2:30 PM with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Randall was born on May 19, 1940 in Macon County, TN to the late Garfield Freeman and Stella Mae (Huff) Freeman Thaxton.  He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Fay Freeman, second wife Joyce Ann Freeman; 2 brothers, Douglas McArthur Freeman and Billy Wayne Freeman; 3 half-brothers, Jack Thaxton, Raymond Thaxton and Howard Curtis Thaxton; a half-sister, Creola Davenport; and a step-son, Tony Escue.

He is survived by his spouse of 8 years, Linda Freeman; 7 children, Matt Freeman (Jada) of Franklin, KY, Mandy Freeman of Bowling Green, KY, Sharon Jernigan of Bowling Green, KY, Lisa Duncan, Kenneth James Escue of Franklin, KY, Scotty Escue of Franklin, KY and Lisa Spivey of Portland, TN; 2 sisters, Juanita Faye Gibbs of Indianapolis, IN and Shirley Clowers of Franklin, KY; half-brother, James O. Thaxton of Tucson, AZ; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Randall loved to fish, squirrel and rabbit hunting, caves and arrowheads and anything outside.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 325 West Cedar St., Franklin, KY 42134, to help with Mr. Freeman’s final expenses. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
