Mildred Frances Wims

Mrs. Mildred Frances Wims, age 90, of Franklin, KY., passed away Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at 7:00PM at the Medical Center at Franklin.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday, December 22nd 2019 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 21st, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Sunday, 6:00 AM until time of service at Gilbert Funeral Home.

Mildred was born May 27, 1929 in Sumner County, TN, to the late Denton Nealy Jones and the late Edna Alice Thompson Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ewing Perry Wims, a sister, Dartha Ella Jones, and a brother, Jackie Leon Jones.

She is survived by her children, Larry Wims (Ellen) of Portland, TN, Pat Brady (Glenn) of Franklin, KY, Nancy Turney (Walter) of Franklin, KY, Beth Dallas (Gary) of Franklin, KY, Randy Wims (Shilla) of Lebanon, TN, a brother, Donald Jones (Phyliss) of Portland, TN, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Mildred was retired from Potter and Brumfield and was a member at State Line General Baptist Church.

The family request donations be made to the State Line General Baptist Church. Donations can be dropped off at the funeral home or mailed to the church at 1740 Rapids Road, Portland, TN 37148.
