Ms. Leslie Nicole Smith Grise, age 42, from Franklin, KY, passed away from triple negative breast cancer on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 2:21 PM at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM with interment to follow in Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.
Leslie was born on January 24, 1981in Russellville, KY to David Smith (Shirley) of Russellville, KY and Connie Elaine (Baugh) Hardison (David) of Lewisburg, KY. In addition to being survived by her parents, she is also survived by her daughters, Kayla Harper and Briley Grise both of Franklin, KY; siblings, Allison Bryson (Josh) of Franklin, KY; step-sister, Satina Anderson (Glynn) of Whitleyville, TN; nephews, Kane Bryson and Jayden Bryson both of Franklin, KY; grandparents, Ralph and Doris Smith of Quality, KY; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and her cat, Oreo.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Hulet and Ilene Baugh; and William "Pete" Hardison.
Leslie was a member of Pleasant Union General Baptist Church in Deerlick, KY. She loved her girls, her family and her cat with everything she had and that is why she fought so hard. She obtained an Associate's Degree at University of Phoenix. Leslie was a paraeducator in the Simpson County School System. She loved her job and caring for kids with special needs.
