Mr. Larry Randolph, age 76, of Franklin, KY, passed away Thursday, May 21st, 2020, at 11:35 PM at his residence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.  His wishes were to be cremated.  The family has decided to hold a memorial service at a later date.

He was born on September 19th, 1943 in Simpson County, KY, to the late Johnny Randolph and the late Virginia Rose Wright Randolph.  He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Hope “Sissy” Maxwell.

Larry is survived by his lovely wife of 56 years, Patsy Scott Randolph, 3 sons, Todd Randolph (Susie) of Hendersonville, TN, Scott Randolph (Leslie) of Franklin, KY and John Randolph (Alison) of Summerfield, NC; 7 grandchildren - Megan, Adam, Will, Jack, Woods and Sawyer Randolph and Drew Maxwell; a sister, Janice Moyers of Franklin, KY.

He graduated from Franklin-Simpson High School in 1961, where he loved playing on the JV and varsity football team and baseball team.  Larry graduated from Western Kentucky State College, now WKU, in 1965 with a bachelor’s degree and began working for the Kendall Company in Franklin, KY where he worked for 35 years.  He was also a farmer and he tended to crops, cattle and horses.  Larry served as the South Magistrate of Simpson County from 1999 – 2019.  While Magistrate, he served on numerous boards, the Hospital Board, the Franklin-Simpson Parks Board and the Ambulance Board.  Larry served on the Franklin-Simpson School Board and was the Board Chairman.  He also served on the Boys & Girls Club Board and helped get the Boys & Girls Club started.  Larry coached Little League Baseball for many years.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
