Karen Lynn Spears

Ms. Karen Lynn Spears, age 64 of Franklin, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 2:50 AM at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Celebration of Life Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory.  Cremation will follow the service.

Karen was born March 18, 1958 in Gallatin, TN to the late Walter “Buck” Spears and the late Mardi Neal (Rippy) Miller.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Cassetty and a step-father Richard Miller.

She is survived 2 children, Eddie Sturm (Jenni) of Franklin, KY and Chris Sturm (Melissa) of Franklin, KY, 5 grandchildren, Wyatt Sturm, Chase Sturm, Kynlee Shelton, Erin Shelton, Amihya Russell and Maddex Cochran, a sister, Teresa Spears of Franklin, KY, step-father, Jess Staley of Albion, IL.

Karen was retired weld line operator after 20+ years at Outokumpu Manufacturing.  She enjoyed Sewing, Crocheting, Gardening, loved taking care of family, friends, or anyone who needed anything.
