Joyce Lynn Spain

Mrs. Joyce Lynn Spain, age 63, of Springfield, TN passed away on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at her residence in Springfield, TN.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 7th, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Halltown General Baptist Church located at: 120 Dink Rut Rd, Portland, Tn 37148. Visitation will continue on March 8th from 8:00 AM until funeral service time. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, March 8th, at 1:00 PM at the church, with burial to follow in Greenbrier, Cemetery in Greenbrier, TN.
Joyce was born on September 20th, 1958 in Patuxent River, Maryland to the late William Donnestad and the late Loretta Anderson Donnestad. She is also preceded in death by her 3 siblings, Barbara Craig, Patricia Donnestad, and Bill Donnestad.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donnie Spain; 2 daughters, Chasity Jackson (Chris) of Springfield, TN, Keisha Conway (Mike) of Springfield, TN; 3 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, CJ, and Brittany; and 1 brother, Mike Donnestad.
Joyce was a member of Halltown General Baptist Church. She was co-owner of Spain Construction with her husband for 30 years. Joyce loved her dog Bella, her chickens and ducks, fishing, reading, annual, “girls trips” to Gatlinburg, and spending the holidays with her family. She also loved going on mission trips to help others however she could. Joyce had strong faith in the Lord, a lot of forgiveness in her heart, and was able to light up the room with her infectious smile.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the “Ambassadors of Hope” - supporting mission trips to Honduras. Envelopes will be available at the church.
