Joseph Robert Cooke, Sr.

Mr. Joseph Robert Cooke, Sr., age 67, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 19th, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin, KY at 2:00 PM with military rights performed by the Simpson County Honor Guard.

Mr. Cooke was born on July 21st, 1954, in Chicago, IL to the late Frank Cooke and the late Evelyn (Doyle) Cooke.  He is also preceded in death by 1 grandchild, Reba Cooke; 1 great-grandchild, Colton Hobbs;  and 3 brothers.

He is survived by wife, Kathy Huff Cooke; 4 children, Joe Cooke, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Franklin, KY, James Cooke (Katherine) of Franklin, KY, Jeffery Cooke (Jamie) of Franklin, KY and Kim Racine (Len) of Franklin, KY; 10 grandchildren, Kathryn, Daniel, Alexander, Jordan, Jason, Destiny, Aiden, Britney, Katie, Haley; 4 great-grandchildren, Gunner, Anna, Jaxton and Madeline; and 2 sisters.

Joseph was a Staff Sargent of the United States Marines and served in the Vietnam War.  He worked for the railroad in Chicago, was a truck driver for Crown Coatings and was a fire fighter.  Joseph loved playing bingo and going to The Mint.
