James “Jimmy” Earl Stark Jr., age 84, a resident of Cross Plains, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his home on July 19th, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie, daughters Sherry (Bob) Johnson and Melanie E. Stark (Bobby Huffines), grandson Kyle Johnson, sister Shawn Yates and several nieces and nephews. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, James Earl Sr. and Bernice Stark, a brother Jack C. Stark, all of Cross Plains and in-laws Bob Perdue and Eva Perdue Wright of Franklin, KY.

Jimmy was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, member of the Crystal Fountain Lodge #222 and a proud member of the V.F.W post 2120. He served in the United States Army, Commissioner for the Cross Plains City for 40 years, former Commissioner with the Robertson County Highway Commission for 8 years, and he was a 32nd Degree Al Menah Shriner, he worked many years and until his retirement as a Union Boilermaker Local 455, and after retirement he worked at the Robertson County Highway Department.

Carmel Baptist Church, 7109 Hwy. 25 E, Cross Plain, TN 37049 or CASA of Robertson County, P.O. Box 967, Springfield, TN 37172 or Open Door Pregnancy Center of Robertson County, 1109 South Main Street, Springfield, TN 37172.

A memorial service may be planned at a later date.
