Garland Ray Vaughn

Mr. Garland Ray Vaughn, age 68, of Orlinda, TN, passed away on Friday, December 10th, 2021 at 11:05 AM at his residence in Orlinda, TN.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18th at 1:00 P.M. at Providence Cemetery, Simpson County, KY located at: 7570 Springfield Rd Franklin, KY 42134.

Garland was born March 08, 1953 in Nashville, TN to the late John Davis Vaughn and the late Eddie Louise Vaughn. He is also preceded in death by his 3 brothers; Skeeter, Jimmy, and Mickey Vaughn and 2 sisters; Bertha and Bobbie Gosnell.

He is survived by his two children, Billy Ray Vaughn and April Vaughn both of Franklin KY; 1 brother, Wes Vaughn (Nancy) of Portland, TN; 3 sisters, Evelyn Keen (Charles) of Portland, TN, Johnnie Tucker of Nashville, TN and “Tootsie” Billie Hopkins (Earl) of Portland, TN.

Garland was a retired welder at Kirby’s Welding in Portland, TN. He was also employed by Oscar Meyer for 20 years. He enjoyed painting, hunting, fishing, woodworking, tinkering with guns and spending time with his friends and family. He loved his dog, “Flossy Mae.”
