"Casey" Florine (Smith) Britt

Mrs. “Casey” Florine Smith Britt, age 83 of Franklin, KY, died at 5:55 PM Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home. Cremation was chosen no services are scheduled.

Florine was born November 1, 1935 in Logan Co., KY to the late William Burr Smith and the late Katie Lee Stanley Smith.  She was preceded in death by a son Tony Pendleton, a daughter Kathy Pendleton and a sister June Hullett.

She is survived by 2 daughters Diane Stiffey (David) of Smiths Groves, KY and Carmel Pendleton of Rockfield, KY, a granddaughter Emily C. Stiffy, 4 sisters Emma Jo Rust, Georgia Robertson and Sherry Gregg all of Russellville, KY and Trish Cavett of Auburn, KY, 4 brothers William E. “Bill” Smith of Franklin, KY, J.B. Smith of Cottontown, TN, David Smith of Auburn, KY and Kenny Smith of Scottsville, KY.

Florine retired social worker for the KY Cabinet for Family and Human Services in Warren Co., she also worked part time as an English instructor for the WKU English Dept.  She earned a Master's degree in psychology and a Master’s degree in English

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hospice of Southern KY or to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital
