Betty Sue Haliburton

July 22, 1932 — July 18, 2020

Mrs. Betty Haliburton, age 87, of Franklin, KY, entered into rest on Saturday, July 18th, 2020 at 4:39 PM at The Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, KY.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 21st at 11:00 AM at Sulphur Spring Church Cemetery in Simpson County.

Betty was born on July 22nd, 1932 to the late James H. “Tuss” Turner and Bessie Gore Turner.  She is also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Leon Haliburton; a daughter, Brenda Haliburton-Gregory; 3 brothers, George Turner, Millard Turner and Raymond Turner and 1 sister, Frances Beach.

She is survived by 1 son, Jackie Halliburton (Genia) of Franklin, KY; 1 son-in-law, David Gregory of Franklin, KY; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Fleming (Chuck) of Franklin, KY, Lesli Gregory (Nick) of Portland, TN and Andrew “AJ” Halliburton of Franklin, KY; 3 great-grandchildren, Kelli Satterly (Dillon) of Franklin, KY, Jacob Fleming of Franklin, KY and Kenslee Gregory of Portland, TN; 1 great-great-grandchild, Reed Satterly of Franklin, KY; and a special grandchild, Cody Miller, son of Ricky and Glenda Miller of Franklin, KY.

Betty was a member of Drakes Creek Missionary Baptist Church.  She worked at Potter & Brumfield for 33 years.  Betty loved cooking for her family, keeping her grandchildren, watching UK Basketball and even NASCAR.
