Betty Jean (Devasher) Fleming

Mrs. Betty Jean Fleming, age 87, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021 at 8:10 PM at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5th, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 5th at 3:00 PM with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Garden in Simpson County, KY.

Betty was born on July 6th, 1934 in Warren County, KY to the late Herbert Leon Devasher and the late Ima Mae (Rush) Devasher.  She is also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles Edward “Dude” Fleming; and 5 brothers, Guy Devasher, Harold Devasher, James Devasher, George Devasher and Wilburn Devasher.

She is survived by 1 son, Chuck Fleming (Michelle) of Franklin, KY; 2 grandchildren, Kelli Satterly (Dillon) of Franklin, KY and Jacob Fleming of Franklin, KY; 1 great-grandson, Reed Satterly; 1 sister, Dorothy Hester (Bob) of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was a member of Middleton Baptist Church in Simpson County, KY.  She worked for the Kendall Company for 53+ years.  Betty enjoyed fishing in Okeechobee, FL at Christmastime, watching UK basketball and football and cooking.
