It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Zackary Tyler Jones, who left this world on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, at the age of 33. Born on Monday, November 2nd, 1992, in Bowling Green, KY. Zack touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness.
Zack's passions were as diverse as they were vibrant; he found joy in fishing, collecting Pokémon, skateboarding, watching South Park, and loved cats. He was known for his love of food and cherished moments spent with friends. His faith was important to him, and he was eager and excited to attend church.
Zack is survived by his father, Brian Jones; mother, Lori Lynn (Cole) McGuffey; maternal grandmother, Nancy Cole; and grandfather, Benny McGuffey. He leaves behind two sisters, Dovie Wheeler (Garrett) of Rives, TN, and Meredith McGuffey (Sarah McCurdy) of Middletown, PA; nephew, Leon Wheeler; niece, Luna Fae Wheeler; cousins, Hailey Crouch, Izzy Crouch, Gracie Crouch, and Maryanna Crouch; as well as his best friends, Katie Woolbright and James Woolbright. Zackary was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ray Cole; paternal grandmother, Judy Jones; grandmother, Linda McGuffey; and step-father, Bart McKinney.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Zack at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY, on Friday, August 7th, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Zack are invited to join in remembering and celebrating his life.
