Virginia Louise Jernigan

Mrs. Virginia Louise Jernigan, age 78 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 9:00 P.M. at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green, Ky.
A native of Simpson Co., KY. she was the daughter of the late W.B. and Bessie Landrum. She was the wife of the late Carl E. Jernigan. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by a son Michael R. Jernigan of Franklin, Ky., a brother Eugene R. Landrum of Vandalia, IL., 3 sisters Betty Landrum and Florence Evelyn McMullin both of Richmond, KY., and Barbara Jo Rice of Houston, TX., and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jernigan was baptized on June 27, 1946, she was a life long member of the Locust Grove Church of Christ, where she taught bible classes for many years, typed and printed the church bulletin, she and her husband provided for youth activities for the teenagers. She loved to sing, especially happy songs of praise to the Lord. She was an avid sports fan especially the Kentucky Wildcats. Mrs Jernigan was a former bookkeeper of Hunt Ford Motor Company, employee of Link Manufacturing, Subway and a farmer.
