Vickie Arlette Baird

Vickie Arlette Baird, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, September 20th, 2026, at the age of 66 at her home. She was born on Tuesday, March 8th, 1960, in Nashville, TN. Vickie brought joy and warmth to everyone she met.

Vickie's life was a testament to love and family. She was the devoted spouse of Anthony “Steve” Baird, with whom she shared 51 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family, blessed with three children: Stephen Davis Baird of Franklin, KY, Jason Lee Baird (Chelsy) of Bowling Green, KY, and Ashley Arlette Douglas (Matthew) of Franklin, KY. Vickie's legacy continues through her five treasured grandchildren: Colton Baird, Mason Douglas, Jaxson Douglas, Elizabeth Douglas, and Elinor Douglas, who brought endless smiles and laughter to her life.

Vickie is also survived by her brother, Gary Gosnell of Franklin, KY, as well as her adopted family, Al and Linda Perkins of Franklin, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Bobbie (Vaughn) Gosnell, and her two brothers, Tommy and Bill Gosnell.

A dedicated homemaker, Vickie was self-employed, pouring her passion into creating a nurturing and welcoming environment for her family. She had a zest for life that was evident in her love for antique shopping, camping, and the simple joys of playing with her grandchildren and bottle-feeding calves.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Vickie's life during visitation at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY. Visitation hours are scheduled for Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026, from 6:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow the funeral service in Providence Cemetery in Simpson County, KY. Pallbearers honoring her memory include Colton Baird, Mason Douglas, Jaxson Douglas, Gary Gosnell, Jeremy Gosnell, and Cody Gregory.
