Mr. Timothy Allen “Timmy” Gilmer, age 54 of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 9:42 PM at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
Mr. Gilmer was born May 15, 1962 in Simpson Co., KY., to his father Jimmy Allen Gilmer (Pat) who survives of Franklin, KY. and to his late mother Barbara Thaxton Brooks. He was preceded in death by his brother Terry Smith.
He is survived by his wife Kim Gilmer; 5 sons Tyler Gilmer, Tad Gilmer, Trevor Jarman, Austin Scarbough and Andrew Scarbough all of Franklin, KY.; a brother Andy Smith of Franklin, KY., 3 sisters Sheri Forbis and Alicia Gilmer both of Franklin, KY. and Cindy Rennick of Bowling Green, KY.; step-father Charles Brooks of Franklin, KY.; 7 grandchildren and a special 6 year old little girl.
Mr. Gilmer was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and employed at Berry Plastics.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday, April 25, 2017 and from 6:00 AM Wednesday until funeral service time at Gilbert Funeral Home.
