Sue Lane (Smith) Biggs

Mrs. Sue Lane Biggs, age 80 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 11:25 AM at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Sulphur Spring Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.

A native of Franklin, KY., she was the daughter of the late Russell Smith and Vertrice Davenport Smith.  She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Allen Biggs and 2 sisters Dawn Jepson and Sally Carter.

She is survived by 2 sons Glen Biggs of Nashville, TN. and Russell Biggs (Susie) of Danville, KY.;  2 sisters Mary Russell Cummings of Franklin, KY. and Ann Burckett of Adairville, KY.;  3 grandchildren Sarah Biggs, Rebekah Biggs, Carie Bowen and great-granddaughter Olivia Bowen, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Biggs was a member of the Sulphur Spring Baptist Church and employee of Simpson County Animal Hospital as office manager.  She was a 1954 graduate of FS High School.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 5:00 PM and 6:00 AM until 9:00 AM Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home.  The body will lie in state at the church at 10:00 AM until funeral service time.
