Stephanie Renee Whitaker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephanie Renee Whitaker, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Stephanie was born on Wednesday, September 3rd, 1969, in Princeton, KY, and passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 15th, 2026, at the age of 57 at Norton's Medical Center in Louisville, KY.

Stephanie was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Logan County High School and had a passion for crafts, and her love of music. Stephanie was an avid drummer and pianist, and she found great joy in singing, dancing, and cooking for her family and friends. Her greatest achievement in life was "Motherhood".

She is survived by her loving children, Kelsi Coursey and her husband Kelly of Auburn, KY, and Kaleb Whitaker and his wife Giuliana of Bowling Green, KY. Stephanie is also survived by her parents, Curtis and Belinda (Darnell) Mabry of Bowling Green, KY, and Scott Whitaker of Franklin, KY. She leaves behind her siblings, Bethany Hawk of Franklin, KY, and Holly Gray of Los Angeles, CA.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Dean Gray; her paternal grandparents, Roy and Elizabeth Gray; and her maternal grandparents, Bobby Darnell and Shirley Baird.

Family and friends are invited to honor Stephanie's life at a funeral service on Monday, October 19th, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY. Visitation will be held the same day from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
