Shirley Ann Harris

Mrs. Shirley Ann Harris, age 88, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 4:20 AM at Cardinal Landing Memory Care in Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY. Visitation will continue on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Shirley was born on December 15, 1936 in Franklin, KY to the late George Shirley Tisdale and the late Mary Evelyn (Carter) Tisdale.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Harris.

She is survived by three children, Tami Bradford (Steve) Bradford, Bart Harris (Anita) of Franklin, KY and Christi Gossett (Mike) of Cottontown, TN; six grandchildren, Tyler Bradford (Kayla) of Franklin, TN, Tanner Bradford (Kelsey) of Atlanta, GA, Jenny Harris-Winton (Keith) of Nolensville, TN, Rachel Perkins (Brett) of Franklin, KY, Matthew Gossett (Rachael) of Colorado Springs, CO, Mackenzie Gossett of Chattanooga, TN; seven great-grandchildren, Presley Perkins, Reese Perkins, Millie Perkins, Piper Perkins, Beckley Bradford, Maverick Bradford and Parks Bradford; one sister, Carolyn Rowland of Franklin, KY; two nieces, Rhonda Barton and Gina Rowland-Paine; and many cousins.

Shirley was a 1954 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School. She was a member of Franklin First United Methodist Church, Simpson County Homemakers and Eastern Star. Shirley enjoyed helping UMW at FUMC with manna meals. She loved spending time with friends every winter with Buddy at Lake Okeechobee and also traveling with her girls the last few years. Shirley entertained herself by painting, reading and sewing.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Franklin First United Methodist Church, 107 North College Street, Franklin, KY 42134. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
