Ricky Dean Gant, 67, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY. He was born on August 19th, 1959, in Franklin, KY, and remained a lifelong resident of his beloved hometown.

A graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School, Ricky pursued a career in the automotive parts industry where he worked diligently and with great passion. Beyond his professional life, Ricky was a man of many talents and interests. He was particularly fond of playing the guitar and expressed his creativity through art and songwriting. His love for automobiles was well-known among his family and friends, and he often spent hours discussing, repairing, and admiring them.

Ricky is survived by his two daughters, Keeli McCoy of Franklin, KY, and Deanna Williams of Glasgow, KY. He was a grandfather to Dakota Lambert and Grayson McCoy. Ricky also leaves behind his sister, Angela Schwab of Woodburn, KY; two aunts, Margie Burton of Franklin, KY, and Reba Boyd of Bowling Green, KY; and an uncle, Phillip Poole of Liles, TN. He will be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Dean Gant, his mother, Eleanor Lois (Poole) Gant, and his brother, Loyd Dean Gant, II.

Honoring Ricky's wishes, he will be cremated, and a private service will be held at his home.
