Richard "Rick" Norris Simmons

Mr. Rick Simmons, age 61 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 5:27 PM at his residence.
Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2016 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
A native of Allen Co., KY., he was the son of the late E. Carl Simmons and the late Mildred Bridges Simmons.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Simmons, a daughter Shelby Smith Simmons and a granddaughter Jacey Smith Johnson all of Franklin, KY., 2 brothers Tommy Simmons (Kathy) of Ridgetop, TN., Emil Simmons (Lisa) of Scottsville, KY. and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Simmons was an employee of Franklin Express and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Franklin Lion’s Club and a motorcycle enthusiast.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM Wednesday until funeral service time at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
