Mr. Raymond Carl Turner, Sr., age 84 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 4:08 P. M. at the Franklin-Simpson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, KY.
A native of Simpson Co. KY., he was the son of the late James H."Tuss" Turner and the late Bessie Ellen Gore Turner. He was preceded in death by a sister Frances Beach, 2 brothers George Washington Turner and Millard Turner and two great grandsons C. J. Provins and Roger Craig Roberts.
He is survived by 2 sons: Matt Turner of Franklin, KY. and Ray Turner of Portland, TN.; 4 daughters: Connie Krulik (George), Joyce Marklin (Sherman) and Helen Lawrence (Roger) all of Franklin, KY. and Donna Taylor of McKee, KY.; a sister Betty Halliburton of Franklin, KY.; 2 step-sons Buddy Witt and Alvin Meador both of Franklin, KY.; 3 step-daughters: Kathy Saylors of Scottsville, KY., Judy Ferguson and Betsy Kennedy both of Franklin, KY.; 16 grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 21 step-great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Turner was a farmer and a member of the Drakes Creek Missionary Baptist Church, former employee of Gillespie Seed Co., Lenk Co. and Byrum's Farm Equipment. He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 62.
