A native of Robertson Co.,TN., he was the son of the late Brian Richey and the late Nina Matthews Richey. He was preceded in death by infant twins and a sister Juanite Latimer.
He is survived by his wife Annie Evelyn Weidemann Richey and a daughter Denise Smith of Symrna, TN. and 2 sons: David M. Richey of Franklin, KY., Don Richey of Chapel Hill, TN. and a step-daughter Linda Halcomb of Portland. TN.; 6 grandchildren Aaron Richey, Kara Richey, Telia Smith, Aiyana Smith, David W. Richey and Becky Craddock; 4 step-grandchildren: Joey Halcomb, Jaime Whitaker, Braxton R. Smith and Crystal Thomas; 10 great grandchildren.
Mr. Richey attended Calvary Baptist Church, was an Army veteran and worked in construction for 50 years. He was a drywall hanger and a former employee of Kenneth Simpson Construction, Young Bullington Construction and others.
