Mark Steven Andrews, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at the age of 65. Mark was born on Thursday, December 22nd, 1960, in Franklin, KY, where he lived his entire life, nurturing his passions for farming, family, and community.

Mark was an alumnus of Franklin-Simpson High School, graduating with the class of 1978. He devoted his professional life to farming, working diligently at J&M Farms. Mark’s commitment to agriculture and his community was evident through his service on the ASCS/FSA Simpson County Committee for 25 years and his contributions to the F-S Planning and Zoning Commission from 2010 to 2019. He also served two terms on the Board of Southern States Co-Op, demonstrating his dedication to local agriculture.

Mark cherished spending time outdoors, whether it was farming, fishing, or hunting. He found great joy in passing down these traditions to his grandchildren, especially while spending cherished moments at Lake Barkley.

Mark is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Cindy Andrews, and his loving children, Krista Avila (Gerardo) and Josh Andrews (Jenny Hudson), both residing in Franklin, KY. He was a proud grandfather to Kalee Andrews, Marleigh Avila, Jaxson Avila, and Charley Andrews. Mark leaves behind his sister, Pam Vance (Buddy), several nieces and nephews, and countless friends who will all miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Luther Andrews and Patsy Ruth (Gregory) Andrews.

The family invites friends and loved ones to gather for visitation at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Franklin, KY, on Friday, June 12th, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, from 6:00 am until the start of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at 1:00 pm with interment to follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Mark’s life will be honored with pallbearers: David Pedigo, Jeff Britt, Harold Lee Towe, Ed Jones, Barry Jones, Bud Vance, Scott Moseley, and Gerardo Avila. Honorary pallbearers will include his grandchildren, Jaxson Avila, and Charley Andrews.
