Marie Elizabeth Watson

Ms. Marie Watson, age 54, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 at 12:10 PM at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.

A calling of friends and family will take place on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 403 North Main Street in Franklin, KY.  A memorial mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with interment following in Calvary Cemetery in Nashville, TN.

Marie was born on May 1, 1968 in Suffern, NY to the late Frederick Gilbert Watson and the late Louisa (Oaks) Watson.  She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Frederick Watson & Mary (Earley) Watson and her maternal grandparents, Francis Miele & Louisa (Oaks) Miele and Louis D. Oaks.

She is survived by her fiancé, Adam Bishop of Franklin, KY; 1 son, Dylan Tyler Watson of Murfreesboro, TN; 2 step-children, Bryan Lee Bishop of Franklin, KY and Carter Allen Bishop of Franklin, KY; 1 sister, Kathleen Miller (Kevin) of Murfreesboro, TN; half-brother, Warren Peter (Susan) of South Port, North Carolina; 3 nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Marie was a 1986 graduate of Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia, NY.  She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Franklin, KY.  Marie was a telemarking manager for Insulsash in NY but her true calling and the delight of her life was being a mother.  She loved gardening, cats and dogs, going out to eat and doing arts & crafts, specifically number painting.  Marie was an adventurous person and loved to travel and seek out new places to explore with her fiance’, Adam, who was the love of her life.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice House of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42104.  Envelopes will be provided at the church.
