Margie (Meador) Carter

Mrs. Margie Carter, age 99, of Franklin, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 25th, 2020 at 4:45 PM at The Medical Center in Franklin, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 28th, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.  The public is welcome to attend, but due to the coronavirus outbreak, please use social distancing.

Margie was born March 16th, 1921 in Simpson Co., KY, to the late Vernon Thomas Meador and the late Josephine Finn Meador.  She was the wife of the late Cecil Carter and was also preceded in death by her son Cecil Wayne Carter.

She is survived by her 2 grandchildren Pam Carter (Robbie Bradshaw) of Franklin, KY and Ray Carter (Kathy Cochran) of Franklin, KY; 3 great-grandchildren Colby Bradshaw, Treven Carter and Braylen Carter.

Margie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Ruth Electra Eastern Star.  She was a homemaker and also worked at Potter & Brumfield for many years.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak there will be no public visitation.
