Mae Dean Williams

Mae Dean Williams, a beloved member of the Franklin, KY community, passed away on Thursday, July 9th, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on Friday, December 9th, 1932, in Sand Springs, OK, Mae lived a life filled with love, dedication, and a passion for her favorite sports and hobbies.

Mae spent her professional career as a Registered Nurse at the Hillcrest Medical Center local in Tulsa, OK, where her warm smile and attentive nature left a lasting impression on colleagues and patients alike. Outside of work, Mae was known for her fervent support of UK basketball and Oklahoma Sooner football. She was also an enthusiastic lover of dogs and had a particular fondness for red cars.

Mae is survived by her two loving children, Sally Brown of Franklin, KY, and William Paul Roderick III of Arlington, TX. Her legacy is further carried on by her 37 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren, who will cherish the memories and the love she shared with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Alger and Lucy (Beck) Alger, as well as her son-in-law, Leroy Brown, and daughter-in-law, Judy Roderick.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Mae's life will be held at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY, on Monday, July 13th, 2026, at 2:00 pm with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. Visitation will be available at the same location on Sunday, July 12th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and again on Monday, July 13th, 2026, from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Good Samaritan, located at 111 South Main Street, Franklin, KY 42134, in Mae's honor. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
