Mr. Luther Barnes, age 63 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Friday, April 1, 2016 at 8:40 PM at his residence.
Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Lake Spring Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
A native of White House, TN., he was the son of the late Walter Barnes and the late Emma Pearl Watkins Barnes. He was preceded in death by a brother W. C. Barnes and 3 sisters Joan Wallace, Mildred Grace and Beatrice Barnes.
He is survived by his wife Diane Barnes, a son Luke Barnes (Jamie) and a daughter Tiffany Gray all of Franklin, KY.; 4 brothers Curley Barnes, Jimmy Barnes and Norman Barnes all of Franklin, KY. and Walter Barnes of Portland, TN.; 4 sisters Judy Acrey and Mavis Barnes both of Franklin, KY., Juanita Gregory of Portland, TN. and Martha Taylor of White House, TN.; 3 grandchildren Jacob Barnes, Zac Barnes and Rosie Gray.
Mr. Barnes was owner-operator of Luther’s Auto Repair and attended Lake Spring Baptist Church.
Visitation be from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Lake Spring Baptist Church and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time on at the church.
