Larry Gene Brown

Mr. Larry Gene Brown, age 78, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 11:09 AM at The Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, 7109 TN-25, Cross Plains, TN.  Burial will follow.

Gene was born on January 16, 1944 in Franklin, KY to the late, Robert Elmore Brown and the late, Lucille Bracken Brown.  He is also preceded in death by 1 great-grandson and a son-in-law, Tommy Burton.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Ruth Brown; 2 children, Larry Scott Brown (Kim) of Hartsville, TN and Connie Lynn Burton of Hartsville, TN; 4 step-children, Michael James Wagner of Clairmont, FL, Sarah Ruth Wagner of Hendersonville, TN, Lisa Ruth Gamble (Joseph) of Hendersonville, TN and James Walter Wagner (Anna) of Prentice, WI; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and1 brother, Robert James "Buster" Brown (C.J.) of Franklin, KY.

Gene was a member of First Baptist Church, Franklin, KY.  He was retired from Luvata.  Gene was a staple at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Golf Course.
