Juanita Sharp Andrews, age 89, passed away on March 18, 2026 at the White House Health Care Facility in Tennessee surrounded by her children and family.
Born during the Great Depression on September 5, 1936, in Banner, Arkansas, she was one of ten children born to Ted and Ella Sharp. Juanita enjoyed traveling and lived in Germany for a while. Regardless of where she traveled, her heart remained in Arkansas with her parents, siblings, and extended family.
A lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Banner, Arkansas.
Juanita handled life’s many battles with grace, determination, and a witty sense of humor. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend who embodied selfless love and strength of spirit.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Ted Doyle Sharp and Ella Fanny Evans Sharp; infant twins, James and Linda Richey; son, David M. Richey; her siblings, Alvis Sharp, Robert “Bob” Sharp, Ray Sharp, Anna Mae Sharp Cooper, and Betty Sharp Reed.
Left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy of kindness, compassion, and unconditional love are her son Don (Korin) Richey, daughters Denise (Braxton) Smith and Michelle (Jarrad) Miller; sisters, Evelee Altom and Rose Davidson; brothers, Larry (Betty) Sharp and Garry (Darla) Sharp; grandchildren, Aaron (Jaymie) Richey, Kara (John) Hislop, David W (Erin) Richey, Rebecca (Eric) Herchenhahn, Telia (Adam) Thompson, Aiyana (Elliot) Johnson, Jaime (Bobby) Whitaker, Wesley Flowers and Caroline Miller; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends and visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 10:00 AM CST to 2:00 PM CST at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY. A memorial service will be held the same day, Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM CST with Bro. Eric Herchenhahn officiating.
Juanita will forever be a bright, guiding light to her family and loved ones.
