John Chlores Meador
July 1, 1920 — March 17, 2015
Mr. John Chlores Meador, age 94 of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 6:00 P. M. at his residence.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00 P. M. with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. Military honors will be conducted by the Simpson County Honor Guard.
A native of Allen Co., KY., he was the son of the late James Cecil Meador and Alqua Willie Walker Meador.
He is survived by his wife Camilla Meador, 3 children Mark Stephen Meador (Freda), John Brent Meador (Pam) and James Chlores “Jimmy” Meador (Marcia) all of Franklin, KY., 5 grandchildren Daniel, Perry, Andrew, Meghan and Anna Meador, 2 great grandchildren Landon and Mason Meador.
Mr. Meador was a member of Round Pond Church, New Salem Masonic Lodge #462, VFW Post #5706 and American Legion Post # 62. He was a WWII Navy veteran and a farmer.
Visitation will begin Friday, March 20, 2015 at 5:30 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. and 6:00 A. M. Saturday until funeral service time at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
