Mr. Joe Stanford Carr, age 89 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 8:58 A. M. at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.
A native of Simpson Co., KY., he was the son of the late John Carr and the late Ada Cothron Carr. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters Ruby Hammond, Lena Miller, Nell Adams and Angeline Ritter; 4 brothers James, Robert, Thomas and Jack Carr.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Richardson Taylor Carr and a son David Taylor (Pat) of Russellville, KY. and Claudia Lennon (Tom) of Hannibal, MO.; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Carr was a retail salesman, a member of the Bethel Grove Methodist Church,
a charter member of the VFW Post 5706 and the American Legion Post 62. He was an Army veteran serving in WWII and Korean War.
