Mrs. Jo Anne Phillips, age 81 of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 4:02 P. M. at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.
A native of Simpson Co., KY., she was the daughter of the late AJ "Doc" Powell and the late Kitty Williams Powell. She was preceded in death by a son John Powell Phillips.
She is survived by her husband Tommy T. Phillips and a daughter-in-law Gina Phillips both of Franklin, KY.; a sister Kay Cook of Jasper, GA.; 2 granddaughters Delsie Katherine Phillips and Sophia Jane-Marie Phillips; a niece Kitty Schreppel of Tracy, CA. and nephew Joel Cook of San Francisco, CA.
Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was a former employee of the Simpson County Extension Service, a member of the Garden Club and participated in the outreach program known as Manna Meals.
