Mr. Jimmy Davis Vaughn, Sr. age 58 of Cross Plains, TN., entered into rest Sunday, May 30, 2010 , at his residence.
A native of Davidson Co., TN., he was the son of the late John D. Vaughn and the late Louise Swaw Vaughn. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Skeeter and Mickey Vaughn and 2 sisters Bobbie and Bertha Gosnell, and father-in-law James “Big Daddy” Groves and a son-in-law Brad Lee Flamm.
He is survived by his wife Polly Groves Vaughn, 2 sons Jimmie Davis “Jimbo” Vaughn, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Cross Plains, TN. and Brian Vaughn and his wife Penny of Orlinda, TN., a daughter JoBeth Flamm Ayers and her husband Bo of Springfield, TN., 2 Brothers John Wesley Vaughn of Portland, TN. and Garland Vaughn of Orlinda, TN., 3 sisters Johnny Tucker of Nashville, TN., Evelyn Keen of Portland, TN. and Tootsie Hopkins of Portland, TN., 7 Grandchildren, Joey Flamm, Carrie Vaughn, B.J. Vaughn, Jimbo Ayers, Jordan Davis Vaughn, Jesse Ayers and Cage Vaughn.
Mr. Vaughn was a member of the Byrum’s Chapel General Baptist Church , and worked for 20 years at Oscar Meyer in Nashville , TN.
