James Clemmons "J.C." West

Mr. James C. “J.C.” West, age 80, of Franklin, KY passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Funeral services will be held the same day, Saturday, February 26th at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.  ***The family has requested mask be worn during visitation and funeral service***.

J.C. was born on May 21, 1941 in Macon County, TN to the late Ernest West and the late Clora (King) West.  He is also preceded in death by 1 sister, Lounell West and 1 brother, Leon West.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Juandaline Sloan West; 2 daughters, Renee’ Ezell (Chris) of Franklin, KY and Michelle Harding (Kelly) of Franklin, KY; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Estep (Sarah), Magen Estep (Chris), Zach Ezell (Brooke) and Kelsey Jamieson (Kevin); 2 great-grandchildren, Kenlee Estep and James “Seb” Ezell; 2 sisters, Kay Clark of Franklin, KY and Peggy Dinwiddie of Franklin, KY; 1 brother, Louie West of Franklin, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

J.C. was a member of Franklin Church of Christ where he served as Deacon, teacher and group leader.  He served his church in many roles including leader in church camp at Chickasaw and chaperone for many youth mission trips.  He also was an active supporter of Churches of Christ Disaster Relief.

J.C. was an Army veteran.  After retirement from 30 years of service with AT&T, he was owner of The Trophy Shop in downtown Franklin.  His most enjoyable and treasured role was husband, father and grandfather.
