Obituary

James Bronson Rohrs, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the age of 50 at his home. Born on April 17, 1976, in Bowling Green, KY, Bronson was a cherished resident of Franklin, KY, where he spent most of his life surrounded by family and friends.

Bronson was a proud graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School, Class of 1994. He spent his working days at Greif Industries, where he worked as a winder operator. Outside of work, Bronson was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and participating in the F-S Bass Club. He was known for his love of country riding, playing corn hole, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family and close friends. He was known for his generous heart and selfless spirit. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he never hesitated to put others before himself. Whether family, friends, or even strangers, he found joy in making a difference in the lives of those around him. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering willingness to help will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Bronson is survived by his devoted wife of 12 years, Jen Rohrs, and their three children, Dalton Rohrs, Kilton Rohrs, and Bailey Hall, all of Franklin, KY. He is also survived by his loving mother, Denise (Simms) Rogers, and step-father, Larry Rogers of Franklin, KY; his mother-in-law Dottie Austin; his brother, Brian Rohrs of Bowling Green, KY; and his sister, Jamie Rohrs of Franklin, KY. Additionally, he is survived by his step-sister, Tina Wilkerson (Jeff) of Portland, TN, and step-brother, Kevin Rogers (Angie) of Franklin, KY; and his aunt, Niela Donoho (Michael) of Portland TN; his uncle Mark Simms (Elizabeth); his uncle Billy Simms (Marie) of White House, TN; his uncle Bill Rohrs (Pam) of Franklin, KY; and his aunt Debbie Kellar (Steve) of Chicago, IL.

Bronson will be reunited with his father, James Alwin Rohrs; his paternal grandparents, Alvin and Della Rohrs; his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Nancy Mitchell; and his great-grandmother, Naomi Graves; and his father-in-law, Monty Austin.

A visitation will be held at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 6:00 am to 8:00 am. Additional visitation will take place at Calvary Baptist Church, 804 Church Street in Franklin, KY on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service in Providence Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Bronson will be laid to rest with the loving support of pallbearers Dalton Rohrs, Kilton Rohrs, Mike McCloud, Ash Evans, Kevin Rogers, James “WA” Partinger, Brian Price, and Greg Bray. Honorary pallbearers include Jason “Goody” Goodman, Jon Atkins, Kelly Vance, Ben Rohrs, Ben May, Mark Hunter, Brandon Thompson, Nathaniel Simms, Dakota Simms, Chris Richardson, Barry Richardson, Tommy Lance, Tommy Turner, Willie Johns, Phil Johnson, Kyle Gammons, Jonathan Truelove, Brian Butt, Craig Delk, Kyle Wilson, Rylan Thomas, Zack Thomas, Kyle Kirby, Bubba Mayhew, Mark Simms, Billy Simms. The family will honor Posthumous Honorary Pallbearers, Chris "Hippy" Thomas and Glenn Gore.

Bronson faithfully supported St. Jude long before his own diagnosis, reflecting his giving heart and desire to help others in need. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bronson's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at stjude.org, a cause close to his heart. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home and church.
