Helen Marie Bennett

A former Owensboro, KY. native Mrs. Helen Marie Bennett, age 97 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 5:00 AM at the Hopkins Nursing Facility in Woodburn, KY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Chapel at Rosehill Cemetery with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro, KY.
A native of Owensboro, KY., she was the daughter of the Fred Smith and the late Cecil Dane Kuykendoll Smith. She was the wife of the late Judge William Francis Bennett. A sister Anna Jean Foster preceded her in death.
She is survived by 2 daughters Sally Bennett Keith of Woodstock, GA and Cary Bennett Bowen (John) of Franklin, KY., a sister Martha Jane Quisenberry (Jimmy) of Owensboro, KY., and a brother-in-law B.J. Foster of Owensboro, KY., 5 Grandchildren T. Bradley Keith and Drew Keith, Hunter Bowen, Ben Bowen and Will Bowen, 8 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Settle Memorial Methodist Church. She enjoyed her volunteer work in a lot of various organizations in Daviess and Simpson Counties.
