Mr. Finis “Bill” Everette Owens, Jr., age 75 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A native of Sumner County, TN. he was the son of the Finis Everette Owens and the late Mamie Pirtle Owens.
He is survived by his wife Marie Hanner Owens, 1 daughter Diane Thomas and her husband Paul of Franklin, KY., 3 sons Billy Michael Owens, Dale Owens and his wife Revina and Gary Owens all of Franklin, KY., 2 sisters Louise Bennett of Springfield, TN., Betty Jean Owens of Indianapolis, IN., 2 brothers Roger Owens of Jacksonville, FL. and Jerry Owens of Owensboro, KY., 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Mr. Owens was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, and was a former member of the VFW Post # 5706 and American Legion Post #62. He was a retired truck driver.
