Evelyn (White) Brown

Mrs. Evelyn White Brown age 75, of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 7:51 PM at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2017 with burial to follow in the McKendree Chapel Church Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.

A native of Simpson Co., KY., she was the daughter of the late Malon White and the late Blanche Eugene Lawson White.  She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Wayne Brown and 2 sisters Deanie Lowhorn and Betty Rogers, 4 brothers Fred, J. W., Doug and Earl White.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Monroe of Franklin, KY., 2 sisters Wilma Bohannon (Johnny) of Franklin, KY. and Lynda Pippin (Jimmy) of Gallatin, TN.,  2 brothers Chick White (Lou) of Franklin, KY. and Scott White of Edmonton, KY.; 2 grandchildren Peri Monroe and Addison Monroe; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brown was a member of the Cedar Bluff Baptist Church in Lafayette, TN.  She was a retired bookkeeper, loving mom, grandmother and aunt known as “Mama Ebbie”.

Visitation will be begin Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM Wednesday until funeral service time at Gilbert Funeral Home.
