Etta Jane (Potts) Adams

Mrs. Etta Jane Adams, age 76 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Monday, October 30, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Franklin First United Methodist Church.  Entombment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

A native of Franklin, KY., she was the daughter of the late Harold Neal Potts and the late Mary Frances Horn Potts.  She was preceded in death by her son Neal D. Adams.

She is survived by her husband Jackie Adams, her daughter Holly Biggs (Kelly) all of Franklin, KY.; 3 grandsons Jonathon Adams ( Bailey), Cameron Adams (Laura) both of Bowling Green, KY. and Blake Biggs (Maggie) of Nashville, TN.; 2 nieces Kelly Wilson Brown and Cynthia  Adams Hughes, 2 nephews Kent Wilson and Brian Adams; 12 great nieces and nephews; cousins whom she thought of as her brothers and sisters, Lawrence Potts, Jr. deceased, Johnny Potts, Charlie Potts, Ellen Ferguson and LuAnn Ferguson-Johns.

Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and a member of the Franklin First United Methodist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Etta Jane loved to take cruises and spending winters with her friends in Florida.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM until 8:00 AM Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until funeral service time at the Franklin First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN  38105-9959 or to the Franklin First United Methodist Church, 107 N. College St., Franklin, KY.  42134.
