Mrs. Elizabeth Dawson Groves, age 93 of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 6:33 AM at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 16, 2017 with burial to follow in the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Simpson Co., KY.
Born in Simpson Co., KY. on October 31, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Allie Fleming Dawson and the late Maude Rowland Dawson. She was preceded in death by her husband M. C. Groves married 56 ½ years.
She is survived by her two sons Michael Carter Groves (Janice) and David Lee Groves (Elaine) all of Franklin, KY.; three grandchildren Amy Groves Jordan (Clay), Jonathan Groves and Matthew Groves (Elizabeth); two great grandchildren Joshua Paul Jordan and Ryan Carter Jordan. One sister Dorothy Henderson of Auburn, KY., one niece Connie Holman and one nephew Jeff Holman (Lisa).
Mrs. Groves was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Visitation will begin Monday, May 15, 2017 at 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM Tuesday until funeral service time at Gilbert Funeral Home.
