Dr. John James Kelly, III

Dr. John James Kelly, age 76 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2:00 A. M. at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.

A native of Franklin, KY. he was the son of the late Dr. J.J. Kelly and the late Lucille Robertson Kelly.

He is survive by his wife Gail Kelly, 5 sons Jim Kelly and his wife Gloria of Louisville, Ky., David Kelly of Franklin, KY., Mike Kelly of Louisville, KY., Bill Kelly and his wife Christy of Bardstown, KY., and Dr. Ken Kelly and his wife Terri of Franklin, Ky., 7 grandchildren Jonathon, Meghan, Erica, Preslee, Quinn, Emma and Taunton Kelly.

Mr. Kelly was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church where he sung in the choir, he was owner and operator of Kelly Family Dentistry, he was a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, and was past president of the Pennyrile Dental Society, past president of the Rotary Club where he was also awarded the Paul Harris Fellow, past president of the Franklin Country Club where he was a past club champion, he was chairman of the board for Simpson County Bank, Union Planters, Franklin Branch and Citizens First Bank, Franklin Branch, he was a former Franklin City Councilman and served on the F-S Planning and Zoning Board, and a Kentucky Colonel.
