Mrs. Dorothy Amelia Newbold, age 86 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Friday, November 10, 2017 at 5:17 AM at the Oak Hill Nursing Facility in Portland, TN.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 12, 2017 with burial to follow in the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Simpson Co., KY.
Mrs. Newbold was born January 15, 1931 in Gallatin, TN. to the late James C. Stewart and the late Annie Summers Stewart. She was the wife of the late Cornis Orvil “Buck” Newbold.
She is survived by 4 nieces and 4 nephews.
She was a member of the Franklin Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a retired teacher/administrator with the Simpson County School System for 34 years.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2017 and from 6:00 AM until service time on Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
