Donald Roman Gosnell

Donald Roman Gosnell, passed away on Friday, March 20th, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on Thursday, May 7th, 1964, in his hometown of Franklin, KY.

Donald was a truck driver for Philmo. His passion for the open road was matched only by his love for NASCAR and the tranquility he found in fishing. These interests brought him joy and a sense of peace throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ingrid (Schneider) Gosnell, his sister Sissy Gosnell, his niece Heather Gosnell Wooten, and his nephew D.J. Vantrease.

Donald is survived by his two nieces, Jackie Gosnell and Susie Gosnell, both of Franklin, KY, as well as three great-nieces and three great-nephews. Though he had no children of his own, Donald stepped into the role of guardian for his niece Jackie after the passing of her mother. He raised her with love and devotion, embodying the role of a father figure when he didn’t have to, but chose to.

There will be a graveside burial at a later date and date will be posted when its scheduled.
